Hello, I’m Helen
I have been in the fitness industry for about 25 years and over that time I have taught classes from aerobics, aqua and step, to Body Combat, circuit training and studio cycling. My main focus and passion these days are teaching fitness yoga and fitness Pilates, and I love the way I can be creative and bring other aspects of fitness and types of exercise into the classes. Having also trained and worked in exercise referral and obtained a L4 certificate in back pain, I am able to use this knowledge to advise and adapt the classes.
In 2003 I moved from working in Leisure Clubs to teaching and assessing fitness courses and I still deliver courses including gym instructing, personal training, kettle bells, circuit training and studio cycling.
In 2011 I decided to start teaching in the community and set up fitness Pilates and fitness yoga at the St Andrews Centre on Thorpe. The classes are relaxed and friendly and operate on a pay as you go basis.
After covering for another instructor for 5 months of the year for the past 3 years I have now taken over classes in Hellesdon and Taverham on a permanent basis and teach 8 classes across Norwich.
What our class members are saying:
Helen’s classes are the only exercise classes I have ever attended which I actually look forward to each week – so much so that I often go to both her Yoga and Pilates sessions!
Jane
Having been advised by friends and relatives to try yoga and Pilates I decided to give it a try. I have never been so flexible in my life, my core is strong and my balance is good.
Colin
Helen’s Pilates class is an hour in the week that I always look forward to, for the friendly atmosphere and the exercise! Every session varies so mind and body are both engaged.
